About
SKAT
The Sports Karate Association of Thiruvananthapuram (SKAT) is the official karate association of the Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala, established in accordance with Article No. 12 of 1955, Travancore Kochi Sahitya Sastra Dharmika Sangham Registration Rules for the overall promotion and development of karate sports in Thiruvananthapuram district.
SKAT is the only Karate association in Thiruvananthapuram district affiliated to the Kerala Karate Association (Recognized by Kerala State Sports Council & Kerala Olympic Association) and the Thiruvananthapuram District Olympic Association.
Mission
The overall aim of SKAT is to popularise this tremendous Martial Art of self defence "KARATE" amongst youth and growing children of Thiruvananthapuram by conducting training seminars, self defence camps, tournaments etc. at Club, District, School & College level.
Vision
To produce State, National, Asian and World champion karate athletes from Thiruvananthapuram district by creating an environment conducive to the growth of karate athletes through transparent and efficient administration.
